We are pleased to offer a workshop dedicated to the art of Sashiko, a traditional Japanese embroidery technique featuring refined geometric patterns, historically used to reinforce, repair, or embellish textiles. This workshop aims to introduce the technical and cultural foundations of Sashiko. By the end of the session, participants will have acquired the basic skills needed to create simple patterns and will be able to continue practicing independently.

Content:
Introduction to the history and symbolism of Sashiko
Presentation of the specific materials
Learning basic stitches and traditional patterns
Creation of a personalized embroidered sampler

Duration

The workshop lasts 6 hours:
First session on October 10, from 2 PM to 5 PM.
Second session on October 31, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Materials

Materials: kit CHF 27 and the essential tool, the "Hera," CHF 8, available during the workshop.
